As you know, now more than ever, the United States is losing the war for global talent. The current H-1B crisis is forcing U.S. businesses into an untenable situation wherein talented applicants cannot be hired at home and, in many cases, profitable projects are moved abroad to access key workers. The European Union’s recently proposed “Blue Card” program would, if enacted, lure highly skilled workers to their countries. Their initiative stands in sharp contrast to the inaction of the U.S. Congress to alleviate the unavailability visas for H-1B workers.
To keep the pressure up on the U.S. Congress, please consider signing a letter and sending it to your Senators and Representative. Raise your corporate voice in support of increased numbers of H-1B visas. U.S. businesses that seek to hire the best and the brightest from an international talent pool must keep this issue “front and center” on Capitol Hill.
